Project status changes report
This report provides a summary of all projects that have changed from one contract stage to another within a given period. It is useful for tracking project progress across different stages (for example, from Proposal to Active, or from Active to Project Complete).
Each project is treated as an independent record, meaning that child projects are displayed separately from their parent projects. If both a parent and its subprojects changed status, each one will appear individually in the report.
The report lists only the latest status change per project within the selected date range , if a project had multiple transitions, only the most recent one is shown.
Filters
How Filters work in the Project Status Changes report
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| From status | Select the origin stage of the transition. All available contract stages are listed. Selecting Any includes all contract stages. |
| To status | Select the target stage to which projects moved (e.g., Active, On-Hold, Project Complete). When a parent contract stage is selected, the report will also include projects whose status belongs to any of its child stages (for example, if “Active” is selected, projects in Active - In progress will also appear). |
| Date range | Defines the period to analyze. The report includes only the latest change per project that occurred within this range. |
| Start date / End date | Used when selecting a custom date range. Defines the boundaries for identifying transitions. |
Logic:
- When a project changes status multiple times within the date range, the report displays only the most recent transition.
- If no changes occurred within the defined dates, the project will not appear.
- Selecting a parent stage (either in “From” or “To”) automatically includes all child stages belonging to that parent.

Calculations & logic

- Both parent projects and subprojects are included and treated as separate entries.
- When a parent contract stage is selected in either “From status” or “To status,” all related child stages are also included in the filter.
