EVX Software supports using project records during the proposal stage. A proposal is a project that is not active yet. When work is awarded, the same record can be moved forward instead of recreated.

What you can do

• Use proposal stage to capture early project information.
• Add expected billing clients, rate schedules, and project details during proposal creation.
• When the proposal becomes active, update the contract stage instead of duplicating the project.
• Templates can create project plans automatically when configured.

Environmental consulting example

A proposal for a wetland delineation project can later become the active project without losing the initial scope, budget, or planned tasks.
