Project financial fields

Screen reference

Projects hold key financial information used for billing, reporting, forecasting, and invoicing. Depending on configuration, this may include billing client, rate schedule, contract type, billing method, estimated values, fixed fee values, and custom properties.

What you can do

  • Use rate schedules to determine applicable billing rates.
  • Use contract type and billing method to define how work should be billed.
  • Use project financial fields consistently so reporting and invoicing calculations remain accurate.
  • Review project financial settings before generating invoices.

Environmental consulting example

A remediation oversight project may bill field scientist time at one rate schedule and subcontracted lab analysis as expenses or product types.
