EVX Software uses a layered permission model combining roles, users, groups, modules, dimensions, and object access. A user generally needs access to the relevant module and to the dimensions where the object is classified.

What you can do​

  • Roles define permission ceilings and defaults.
  • Groups can simplify permission assignment.
  • Module permissions determine which features users can access.
  • Dimension permissions determine which clients, projects, or other members the user can see.
  • Objects classified to inaccessible dimensions are hidden from the user.

Environmental consulting example​

A subcontractor assigned to one environmental project should only see tasks, documents, and time entries for that project, not the entire client portfolio.
